Templates & Author Guidelines

Everything you need to prepare and submit your paper for IEEE Xplore-indexed publication.

IEEE Xplore Digital Library

All accepted papers will be published in the official ICC'27 conference proceedings through IEEE Conference Publishing Services (CPS) and submitted for indexing in IEEE Xplore, Scopus, and Web of Science.

To qualify for IEEE Xplore inclusion, all submissions must follow the official IEEE conference paper template and meet IEEE PDF eXpress compliance.

Download the IEEE Conference Template

All papers must be prepared using the official IEEE conference template. Choose your preferred format below — Word for traditional workflows, LaTeX for math-heavy papers, or Overleaf to write online with no installation.

Please note that authors will find all necessary formatting guidelines detailed directly inside the downloaded template document

📄

Microsoft Word

LaTeX

IEEE template (.tex + .bst) — recommended for equations, algorithms and structured math.

Overleaf (Online)

Write collaboratively in the browser — IEEE templates come pre-loaded, nothing to install.

Templates are maintained and periodically updated by IEEE. Always download the latest version directly from the IEEE Author Center.

Choose Your Submission Type

IEEE recognises four types of conference submission. All undergo rigorous double-blind peer review.

Length
≤ 250 words

Abstract

A synopsis of your research. Ideal for early-stage work, work-in-progress reports, or those seeking initial feedback before committing to a longer manuscript.

Length
< 2 pages

Extended Abstract

A high-level summary of your research with preliminary results, motivation, and methodology — more developed than an abstract but shorter than a paper.

Length
< 4 pages

Short Paper

A brief paper presenting a summary of your research. Suitable for work-in-progress, position papers, case studies, and preliminary findings.

Recommended
6–8 pages

Full Paper

A complete manuscript in IEEE conference format describing your research in full — original contribution, methodology, experiments and validated results.

Page limits follow IEEE conference paper guidelines. Extra pages may be permitted with additional fees — details on the Registration page.

IEEE Xplore Compliance Requirements

For inclusion in IEEE Xplore, every accepted paper must meet IEEE's technical specifications. Use the checklist below as you prepare your camera-ready version.

📄

Strict Template Adherence

Use the official IEEE conference template without modifications to margins, fonts, font sizes or column widths.

🎧

All Fonts Embedded

The final PDF must have every font fully embedded — no Type 3 fonts. IEEE PDF eXpress checks this automatically.

IEEE PDF eXpress

Camera-ready PDFs must be validated through IEEE PDF eXpress. Access details will be shared upon acceptance.

🔗

IEEE Copyright Form

Authors of accepted papers must complete the IEEE electronic Copyright Form (eCF) before publication.

🎥

In-Person Presentation

At least one author must register and present the paper at the conference. Papers not presented may not be included in IEEE Xplore.

🔍

Originality Check

All submissions are screened with iThenticate / CrossCheck. Papers with substantial overlap will be rejected.

Ethical Requirements & Originality

ICC'27 follows the IEEE Author Ethics policies. All authors are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity.

  • Original, Unpublished Work Submissions must present original research that has not been previously published and is not currently under review at another venue.
  • No Plagiarism or Self-Plagiarism All text, figures and data must be properly attributed. Substantial reuse of your own prior work without citation is considered self-plagiarism and is not permitted.
  • Anonymous for Double-Blind Review The version submitted for review must not contain author names, affiliations or any information that reveals author identity. Self-citations should be in third person.
  • Honest Authorship All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the work. Ghost-authorship, gift-authorship and undisclosed AI authorship are prohibited.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the research.
  • Responsible AI Use Use of generative AI tools must be transparently disclosed in the methods or acknowledgements section. AI cannot be listed as an author.

For the full IEEE policy, see the IEEE Author Ethics guidelines.
